I have decided to shut down Martha Caroline Photography for the time being. Don't worry, if I'm currently editing your photos or if you have already scheduled a shoot with me, you'll still get your photos completely edited. I will possibly return back to the photography world next July after Matt and I get married.

This had to have been one of my favorite weddings to photograph. Everyone in the Bridal Party were good friends and the loved having fun. Which made it fun for me too! Let's just say at the end of the night...they all jumped in the pool together! Here's a sneak peek of their photos. I'll have some more up in about a week!

What's with the name change...

You're probably thinking..."What's with the name change Katy?" (That is, if any one even reads this). Well, I chose the original name because I needed to make business cards. I was never a big fan of it and thought it sounded a little cheesy. My grandma passed away almost 3 months ago. She was one of my biggest supporters when I decided to do this photography thing. She was and still is my hero and I've decided to name my business in her honor. So here it is guys... Martha Caroline Photography.

A day at the park...

A friend of mine asked me to take some shots of her and her siblings for their mom's birthday! We went to a local park and had a TON of fun! The littlest was in my class when I worked at the daycare! Anyway, here are some of my favorites!

So, after being crazy busy I finally have time to upload some of the Dummel Wedding! I should have the Heck wedding up in about a week. But here we go!

About two weeks ago I had a maternity session with a very good friend of mine Jessica. I have enlisted some help (Thanks Jerry!) to edit some of my sessions because of how busy I'm getting! I'll have her portraits up within the next few weeks...however!...today Julian Anderson Meier was born at 8:24 AM. He weighed 8 lbs 2 ounces and was 20 inches long! Yay Julian! I'll be shooting his newborns in about two weeks as well! Congrats Jessica and Jordan!

He's Here!

Congrats to Dana and Bob! Carter Turner Williams was born Wednesday at 4:14pm! He weighed 8lbs and was 20 1/2 inches long! I will have maternity shots from Dana's session and next week sometime I will be shooting Carter's newborns!!!! Hurray!

Earthquake!

This post has absolutely nothing to do with photography but, did anyone feel the earthquake this morning?! I lived through my first earthquake! ha..I don't know if I would consider that to be a real earthquake...but it was awesome nonetheless. And about 10 minutes ago I just felt another tremor! I read the reason an earthquake travels further in the Midwest is because the Earth's crust is older and less fractured. The deep sediment 'rings like a bell' (that's what the report said haha). Anyway, thought it was interesting that the earth was a quakin' this morning!

Davidson Three!

I just finished editing some of the Davidson's portraits! It was such a crazy/fun time! I had Drew in my class when I worked at the daycare. The main purpose was for Claire's first birthday, but I definitely wanted to include Emily and Drew too! Unfortunately, oldest sister Lauren wasn't able to be there!











I also finally have a way for clients to view their portrait proofs online now! So if you get your portraits taken, I'll give you a password and probably 2 weeks after they were taken I will post them on there. You can view them and possibly even order them! I would also encourage sharing the password with family in case they want to purchase some as well!

First blog!

Well, here we go! I haven't blogged since xanga! I think I'll start out by telling everybody a little about CC Photography (CC=Classic Choice). We've only been around for about a year now, but in that year we have accomplished a lot! In our second year now we have three weddings, and 5 seniors already booked! I'm very excited about this! Right now, the only photographer for CC is me, Katy! I'm totally okay with this because that means the photos happen the way I want them to. I have always loved photography and was very involved in it in high school. I really got started in portrait art just this past year. I also recieved a brand new Canon Digital Rebel XTi. That camera is my baby! I'm very interested in making sure everyone can afford to have photographs taken. I just can't justify charging someone $10 for an 8x10 when I know I purchase it for just around $2. I am very willing to work with all clients on prices, especially weddings! A wedding is a memory you want to have captured. I don't want prices to stop someone from having wonderful wedding photos! Anyway, I better go! I'm hoping to use this blog to provide a way for clients and friends to keep up with our growing business! Maybe the more I blog the better I will get at it!
